Maheshwaram Sri Shiva Parvathi temple is also known as Dakshina Kailasam. The Shiva Lingam height is adjudged by the Indian Book of Records and Asian Book of Records. Soil, sand, and water from holy places were used in the construction. This Shivalinga structure has 8 floors. Out of the six floors represent six human body energy chakras.
Devotees meditate on respective chakras being on the respective floor. On the first floor of the structure, there are 108 Sivalingas exclusively for offering Abhishekam by devotees.
However, the exact weight of the temple is not known till time.
